Jewish Experiences During the Civil War

 
The American Civil War may be the most dramatic event in American History, tearing at the fabric of the country and revealing both its strengths and weaknesses.  One can argue that we are still feeling its effects today.

American Jews on both sides of the conflict faced difficult decisions and played a role in the conflict.  Drawing on presentations that he has made at area libraries and other venues, longtime congregant Stanley Weinstein will share many stories of the Jewish experience during the Civil War.
