MJC Youth Group
The MJC Youth Group provides Jewish friendship and fun for children in grades 2 through 6. Meeting monthly on Monday (and select Wednesday) evenings and led by our wonderful Youth Leader, Nancy Tobia, we offer engaging activities such as scavenger hunts, holiday-themed programs, community service activities, trips, paint nights, iron chef, and more!
At each event, kids will enjoy a light dinner (pasta, pizza bagels, or chicken nuggets) and a dessert after the activity.
All children are welcome, you don't need to be a member of MJC to join the Youth Group.

USY TEENS
USY TEENS is a dynamic and engaging program for teens in grades 7-12, meeting monthly on Thursdays from 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm at MJC and lead by our wonderful Youth Leader, Rebecca Goldfarb. USY aims to build leadership skills and strengthen Jewish identity through a variety of fun and meaningful activities. Teens take an active role in shaping the program, choosing activities that range from holiday celebrations and community service to special chesed projects.
Our monthly events feature diverse activities such as Iron Chef competitions, Ice Cream Socials, Gaming Nights, Paint Nights, and exciting off-site trips.
Each session also includes light snacks, creating a relaxed and social environment.
USY TEENS is the perfect next step after bar or bat mitzvah, promoting continued involvement in the synagogue community and fostering lasting connections among peers.

YOUTH Activities COMMITTEE
The youth at the Merrick Jewish Centre is the foundation of our synagogue. The Youth Committee works directly with our youth advisors and is focused on engaging our kids in fun and engaging activities that offer leadership and service-oriented opportunities. Help us build a thriving youth group at MJC.
