MJC Youth Group

The MJC Youth Group provides Jewish friendship and fun for children in grades 2 through 6. Meeting monthly on Wednesday evenings and lead by our wonderful Youth Leader, Nancy Tobia, we offer engaging activities such as scavenger hunts, holiday-themed programs, community service activities, trips, paint nights, iron chef, and more!

At each event, kids will enjoy dinner and a dessert after the activity.
All children are welcome, you don't need to be a member of MJC to join the Youth Group.

Membership Dues
$150/ year (Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, March, April, May)
$75/ session 1 (Nov, Dec, Jan)
$100/ session 2 (Feb, March, April, May)
$25 per event

YOUTH COMMITTEE

The youth at the Merrick Jewish Centre is the foundation of our synagogue. The Youth Committee works directly with our youth advisors and is focused on engaging our kids in fun and engaging activities that offer leadership and service-oriented opportunities. Help us build a thriving youth group at MJC..

MJC USY TEENS

USY TEENS is an exciting program designed specifically for teens in 7th through 12th grades. At engaging monthly events, our teens celebrate holidays, engage in community service activities, work on special chesed projects—bonding with one another in the process. 

One of the most crucial times to encourage students to continue as active members of the Jewish community is immediately post-b’nai mitzvah. 
USY TEENS is the perfect casual follow-up to a Jewish education, promoting active participation at a synagogue. Any Jewish teen in the community seeking to connect with like-minded peers is welcomed at MJC USY TEENS.

We continually want to hear what our teens are interested in, and that is why we are starting a USY board at MJC for 2024-2025. If your child is interested in joining us to create and lead programs, and be an active leader at USY TEENS, or are intersted in participating in programs, then this is the place for them!
